Bought a KOI pocket watercolor sketch box which comes with a water brush- where the body is filled with water instead of ink. Makes sense for the watercolor medium. Trying it out for the first time... :P

Made a digital sketch, printed it out, then tried putting the colors on a tracing paper. Tracing paper is not suitable for watercolor, but I just wanted to see how it looks... This is a closeup, with a purple paper underneath it.
I also tried the water brush with Chinese calligraphy ink. What used to be painting from light (a brush filled with water) to dark (drying up, getting more ink), now it naturally favors painting from dark to light (because the continuous presence of water dilutes the ink in the brush). A different way of work.
